What does NIDS do?

NIDS has a strong human rights profile, with a main focus on the human rights of women,  children, persons with disabilities and LGBT persons. NIDS has extensive experience of complex social change and process evaluations. NIDS has carried out HRBA benchmarking and analyses of both organisations and programs. NIDS has, in cooperation with MSC, worked as Sida Help Desk on HRBA in support of the Swedish Embassies in Sub-Saharan Africa, including preparation of a web-based tool on HRBA.

NIDS also engages in organisational analysis and capacity development, OD coaching and mentoring and results/rights based management. NIDS has been heavily involved in research and method development, taking the lead of a number of methodological studies on successful human rights interventions and civil society partnerships.
